NFL West Preview

Tampa Bay – Detroit 187

Why Detroit 187? –
It looks like it could be awful, but is surprisingly good.

Analysis – This young offense could surprise some people. I like Mike Williams and Josh Freeman to have some big connections. The defense is not like the old Warren Sapp-led D, but it isn’t horrible. Six or seven wins is a possibility.

Favorite Player – LeGarrett Blount. Good right hook.

Least Favorite Player – Kellen Winslow. I don’t like warriors.

2009 Record – 3-13
2010 Prediction – 6-10

New Orleans – Jersey Shore

Why Jersey Shore? –
The Saints and Jersey Shore are sweeping the nation. Bandwagon jumpers. Katrina and GTL are everywhere. Still. Sean Payton’s visers and hair reminds me of something Pauly D would do.

Analysis – A lot of people are down on the Saints this year. They looked bad in week one against the Vikings, and really should have lost to the Vikings in the NFC Title game last year. But they won both games. Then they won the Super Bowl. They know how to win, and I don’t see that changing.

Favorite Player – Drew Brees. He really is a good guy.

Least Favorite Player – Reggie Bush. Douche.

2009 Record – 13-3

2010 Prediction – 12-4

Atlanta – The Black Donnellys

Why The Black Donnelly’s?
– The Vick era, and the Donnelly’s ended before their time, and were both pretty cool. Well, maybe not the Vick era.

Favorite Player – Michael Turner. He is going to have a big year. Maybe.

Least Favorite Player – Morten Anderson. Wait, he isn’t there anymore?

2009 Record – 9-7

2010 Prediction – 10-6

Carolina – Castle

s
Why Castle?
– Nobody watches Castle, except my dad. Nobody watches the Panthers either. Not even my dad.

Analysis – Steve Smith. Good. Rest of team. Bad. I hope John Fox gets fired, then gets hired as the Vikings coach next year. He went to the Super Bowl with Jake Delhomme. That's gotta mean something.

Favorite Player – Steve Smith. I just feel bad for him.

Least Favorite Player – Jonathan Stewart. He is my least favorite at least until he picks up his fantasy points. Come on Stewart.

2009 Record – 8-8

2010 Prediction – 5-11
